Beloved Restorative
Yoga Workshop with Athina Saltiel
17.02.2018
Beloved Restorative is a workshop where we explore the basic postures and the benefits of Restorative Yoga and how it can be integrated into our everyday life and our active yoga practice. We familiarize ourselves with the usual yoga props necessary for the practice and explore how we can be creative and make the best of what we have available to create our own props. We experiment with each other, finding out the needs of each body type and how we can adjust the postures to its specific needs. The workshop can be attended by yoga teachers and practitioners who wish to integrate Restorative Yoga to their lessons and their personal practice, respectively.
Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing passive practice that activates the parasympathetic nervous system leading to rejuvenation, calmness and stress relief. Some of its benefits are:
• Prevents disease and helps relieve cold and flu symptoms
• Helps relieve women’s issues
• Provides headache relief, relief from carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica and spinal cord injuries
• Helps reduce obesity
